Wow! You impress me (but, sadly, not enough to have me dusting off the cookie cutters) So impressed - and yes, just 'let it go.' Thanks so much for stopping by! Parallel lives, I'd say! I MIGHT do one thing, not sure. It will all be mood-dependent! Merry Christmas and many hugs to you! I have a tin of cookies, but I might have to seek and find the Belgian ones - sounds yummy!!! And no, I won't read the label :) Thanks for stopping by!
Lisa https://www.blogger.com/profile/02022672900968890261noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7840076266780903148.post-37279089827791650202014-12-17T11:54:41.691-08:002014-12-17T11:54:41.691-08:00Great post, Lisa. Nuts, I know, but the family gobbles it up (sometimes before the holiday - I hate that) and I give a lot to friends. I don't have time this year either. I'm also focusing on the 'now.' Enjoying the moment. Living in the present. Buying a few things, baking just a couple of quick items, and letting the rest go. I doubt we'll suffer. :>) Merry Christmas!Laura Langstonhttp://www.lauralangston.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7840076266780903148.post-3143308217084629562014-12-17T11:28:43.444-08:002014-12-17T11:28:43.444-08:00Hi Lisa

I kept watching my baking not being eaten. It seemed like more and more of it went into the freezer each year. It hasn't been missed, but I do miss the hours of playing in the kitchen, smells of ginger and cinnamon and sounds of Christmas carols playing in the background. Great memories of Christmas that reach back into my childhood.
But I don't miss the fatigue and Thrifties makes a good whipped shortbread cookie!
Merry Christmas
Jo-Ann
Jo-Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10033543724779897374noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7840076266780903148.post-55750139698876128492014-12-17T10:20:22.870-08:002014-12-17T10:20:22.870-08:00I'll confess, I haven't done any baking ei...I'll confess, I haven't done any baking either. I did, however, send the hubbie into the craziness that is Thrifty's to buy butter that was on sale. So now I'd better make some shortbread from it! I think being stress-free is much better than being stressed with baking. You know what's really good are those tins of Belgian cookies--President's Choice makes a really good one. Just don't look at the ingredient/nutrition label. :-)Roshttp://www.rosalindvillers.comnoreply@blogger.com
